jeans for plus
size women. Being a larger woman does not mean you should have to give
up on wearing denim. However, before you get yourself a pair or two of plus size designer jeans, there are a few things you need to consider—especially if you want to look as great and curvaceous as possible.
Everybody deserves a nice fitting pair of pants, so it is nice to know that more designers are finally creating - Do not buy pants that are too tight or too baggy. Skinny jeans will only emphasize bulges, and baggy jeans will not hide anything at all. In fact, baggy pants will only make you appear larger altogether.
- Choose a pair that has large buttons and low-set back pockets in order to balance your proportions. Some designers are also adding waistband modifications in order to make them thicker and higher. A higher, thicker waistband will provide you with extra stomach stability.
- Always pick a dark wash rather than a light wash. Regarding plus size designer jeans, a dark wash can create an “illusion” of thinness. As such, you need to choose dark blue or black jeans.
- Make sure you buy jeans that fit, regardless of the size. If you look better in a pair of 18′s than a pair of 16′s, buy the former. Even if the smaller size does fit, it might not be the best choice. Sometimes, a pair of pants in a larger size might make you appear even slimmer than a pair in a smaller size!
- Consider paying a bit more for a superior cut. Sure, plus size designer jeans are expensive enough as it is, but some designers offer better cuts and fabrics at an additional cost. Cheap denim will not always flatter you, so be willing to pay more for higher quality.
- Not all top name designers offer plus size jeans, so do a bit of research to find lesser known brands that do produce high quality denim. Just remember to buy dark washes with beneficial modification.
